IT Infrastructure Forensics Engineer

IT Infrastructure Forensics Engineer , Professional Services Occasional Travel to clients sites in North West , North East and Northen region

The IT Forensics team provide support to the business in identifying and securing client infrastructure to obtain critical data that can be used to investigate the cause of business failure.

Data needs to be captured using defined forensic methods and fully documented to a compliant standard.

Candidate Profile

This role would suit someone with a very strong infrastructure background and experience of working with many different platforms. Training will be given in forensic capture and company standards, but the candidate must have a structured, problem solving mind.

Role Requirements

• Provides Discovery/Collection/Presentation/Support
• Follow documented processes
• Negotiates with IT Staff/3rd Parties/Cloud providers for data
• Provides advice to Counsel/Administrators on capturing data from hostile parties
• Advises on the sale of data
• Understands licensing constraints
• Has knowledge of Insolvency Law and can use it to get access to data
• Can data-wipe equipment on and off site
• Logging of Evidence
• Assist in design of solutions for client equipment to run in Cloud environment
• Provide budgeting guidance to Administrators on equipment/software purchasing
