Excellent opportunity for an IT professional to join a leading education institution where you will play a key part in new and exciting infrastructure projects whilst leading a driven/ motivated team.
This education institution is regarded as one of the leading grammar schools in the country. 2024 is set to be an exciting time for the IT team as they look to invest heavily into the IT infrastructure and create a long term IT strategy for the school.
In this role you will be given full autonomy of the IT division. This will include leading a team of 3 IT professionals, responsible for the day to day management and security of the schools system whilst looking at ways to grow, develop and improve the IT infrastructure.
The ideal candidate would either have experience as an IT manager or be a IT professional who has a proven track record in mentoring and coaching other IT professionals. Working in a school environment would be an advantage but strong networking skills are a must.

The role
*Leading a team of 3 technicians.
*Managing the development of IT throughout the school within an agreed annual budget.
*A proactive approach to developing team members' ability to achieve high professional standards, both individually and collectively, is a core focus.
*You would be responsible for the day-to-day management and security of the school's systems, maintaining a continually reliable IT provision throughout the school, monitoring network resources and predicting future expansion to benefit student learning and teacher efficiency.
*You will also keep abreast of developments in your key areas and think creatively and constructively to ensure that the job is done in the most effective and time efficient way.
*You will be responsible for managing school IT support contracts, technical support and emergency cover etc.
*Monday to Friday
*Flexi time hours.
The person
*Have experience in an IT networking role.
*Have experience leading and mentoring other IT professionals.
*Ideally have worked in a school but not essential.
