You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.

In this busy and rewarding role you’ll also carry out following key responsibilities:

  • Carry out weekly assurance activities to ensure the quality of project status data in SharePoint, enabling decision makers to steer, monitor and control projects.
  • Prepare the weekly IT Project Dashboard in PowerBI using the latest project reports.
  • Carry out quality reviews of project documentation where PMO are key approvers.
  • Ensure the smooth progression of all projects through stage gates, confirming key activities are reviewed against a specified checklist, including Information Security requirements, RAID log maintenance, reporting and resourcing approvals.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders via the Project Survey, allowing the Senior IT Governance Manager to report quarterly to the IT Board
  • Assemble and distribute monthly reporting for the IT Director to assist with Operational Leaders meetings.
  • Facilitate Project MOTs where required to provide reporting on project health and suggested improvements.
  • Perform quality checks on Work Inception Process submissions and resolve any queries and/or missing information prior to review
  • Act as secretary to the fortnightly Demand Management Group

You’ll be someone with:

  • Demonstrable experience in a PMO/ Project Admin or Governance role
  • Knowledge of project planning tools
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Confidence in presenting information and acting as a source of knowledge and guidance.
  • Demonstrable ability to drive improvements and take charge of initiatives.
  • Experience in using and governing an agile delivery framework.
