Full Time- Fixed Term Contract - 12 months Based at St. Albans campus but travel to other sites when required We are seeking a talented and experienced IT Project Manager to join our IT Services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT Project Management and be skilled in developing project documentation alongside managing individual project activities. You will work closely with key stakeholders to develop and implement the IT elements of business projects alongside managing individual IT projects. Key Responsibilities: • Act as the first point of contact for current and new IT related project queries. • Lead IT projects, or the IT element of business projects, through requirements, scope, budgets and implementation plans including risk mitigation. • Coordinate internal and external resource to ensure that projects are delivered successfully. • Complete project reporting as required and regularly inform stakeholders of project statuses. • Establish and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders. • Establish and implement project management best practices across IT. Skills and Experience: • At least 3 years’ experience in an IT Project Management role. • Evidence of the previous use of project management toolsets and an understanding of methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall etc. • Formal project management qualification desirable - PMI, PRINCE2 etc. • Able to prioritise work and assign work of high importance to relevant staff promptly. • Good organisation skills. • A self-starter with good problem solving and research skills. • Good telephone and written (email) communication skills.
