It Project Manager - 6 Month Contract

We are seeking a skilled IT Project Manager, initially on a six month contract. We’re a fast-paced, FTSE 100 retailer with lots happening!

Our Support Centre is based in Speke, Liverpool, L24 and we will require on-site 3 days' a week

As the IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of complex IT waterfall projects from initiation to closure. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills to effectively manage projects and ensure their successful delivery.

The key responsibilities in the role are:

• Develop and manage project plans, timelines and resources
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project deliverables with business objectives
• Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders
• Ensure project requirements are clearly defined, and all deliverables meet quality standards
• Manage project scope, ensuring any changes are properly managed through change control processes
• Facilitate effective communication between project team members, stakeholders, and sponsors
• Ensure project documentation is complete and accurate

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years of experience in IT project management
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
• Experience managing large-scale IT projects, including software development projects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
• Experience managing budgets and resources
• PMP certification or equivalent is a plus
