Attwood Perks is delighted to be partnering with an ambitious and forward-thinking business in Stowmarket who are looking for IT Project Manager on a permanent basis to lead and deliver a mix of IT and Business Change projects.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and closing projects while ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The IT Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to deliver successful outcomes.

As IT Project Manager in this rapidly evolving business, you will have extensive project delivery experience and ideally hold a PRINCE2 Qualification. You will have a strong understanding of business and change management needs with vast exposure to implementing complex IT projects and have the ability to lead and get the best out of different IT and non-IT teams.

Day to day duties include:

  • Managing a mix of IT infrastructure, systems and software projects across the whole enterprise;
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders;
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budget;
  • Allocate resources and coordinate the efforts of team members, vendors, and third parties to deliver projects successfully;
  • Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and troubleshoot issues to ensure timely delivery;
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues;
  • Conduct project post-mortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements;
  • Assembling project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing a schedule to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget;
  • Leveraging technical expertise for project planning, resource management, system/technology/validation, testing and implementation planning;
  • Ownership of work breakdown structure, production of estimates, project plans, finances, risk and contingency, scope management and change control;

Skills you will ideally have:

  • Managing a range of project types primarily within technology;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across different business units and functions;
  • Any qualifications would also be an added bonus - Agile, Prince 2, ITIL, APM, MSP;
  • Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, managing projects from initiation to completion;
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies and tools;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities;
  • Ability to analyse and solve problems, make decisions, and manage conflict effectively;
