IT Service Delivery Manager new permanent Hybrid role with 2 days expected per week on-site in the Birmingham office, rest remote working. Salary £50,000 - £60,000
THE ROLE
The IT Service Delivery Manager role is responsible for the day-to-day running of the ISIT department, ensuring service levels are achieved and the ISIT environment remains secured. Management of Group IT helpdesk first line and local IT BAU resources.The wider Group IT function in Europe is an important stakeholder with whom this role will need to forge critical working relationships and will be the local IT BAU partner.
Work with the business and technology stakeholders to translate business problems into solutions and designs. Through iterative continual service improvement ensure that our IT services are aligned to the user needs in the UK and Group organizational objectives.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Essential
* Familiar with a service approach using ITIL principles
* Excellent technical knowledge of IT systems and services
* Reviewing and developing IT operational business processes
* Analytical approach to problem solving
* Ability to interpret data, identify potential issues and present this in a way that facilitates effective decision making.
* Experience of supporting a bespoke software system
* Experience of successfully managing 3rd party suppliers including IT helpdesks
* Experience and understanding of current Data Protection regulations
* Experience of Service Delivery in IT Services
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Line management of the IT BAU team (6); including mentoring, technical guidance, and performance reviews to ensure that they are meeting their goals and objectives.
* Managing and enhancing cyber security
* Managing supplier relationships for IT supply, IT support, telecoms and office equipment supply/maintenance
* Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization
* Communicate the European IT Service Catalogue and related processes to the local end users
* Attend IT supplier service review meetings; areas covered will include performance reports, service improvements, quality and processes.
* Act as primary point of escalation for the UK business on all IS/IT service management issues, either at a Local Zonal level or at European Group level.
* Definition of service level agreements (SLA'S) related to contracted services. Accountable for degradation in service quality in breach of agreed SLA's.
* Responsible for the provision of BAU IT services including desktop applications, Local and / or Wide area networks, IT security and telecommunications.
* To ensure that systems, processes and methodologies as specified are followed to sure effective monitoring, control and support of Service Delivery.
* To provide reports to an agreed schedule (or on request), including management and account performance reports.
* Maintain IT security accreditations and governance required by the business (i.e. Cyber Essentials & Internal Controls)
