Hybrid or UK Remote – Must be able to commute to Salisbury.
Up to £65000
Must be Eligiblefor SC Clearance (Last 5 years resident in the UK, with no individual trips over 30 days out of the country).
Your new company
This Facilities Management business is in a position to add an IT Solutions Architect to their well-established team. This can be a remote-first position, but the ideal candidate will be located within commuting distance to their Head office in North Salisbury so you must have your own transport.
We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect that has progressed from a Microsoft .Net background.
Your new role
This role will be pivotal in helping to lead the technical direction of the team, but is not a people management role. You will be a highly motivated, innovative individual looking to progress within a secure and reputable organisation.
Reporting directly to the Head of IT you'll be responsible for the analysis and design of solution architectures for the current and future contractual needs of the business. Beyond this you'll maintain the Enterprise Architecture and manage its evolution. You will work with stakeholders across functional areas, recommending new platforms, tools and technologies and producing white papers to support business cases. The role also involves work with the Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect tool using TOGAF, Archimate and UML as appropriate.
The team run Agile and you'll be encouraged to reinforce and embed these practices. They want constant communication around a shared goal so you'll help with the ‘technical vision' and to ensure that the direction of travel for technology is correct.
What you'll need to succeed
The business are undergoing a modernisation so you'll have the opportunity to push new technologies and solutions:
Required

• Deep understanding of architectural styles (e.g. 2-Tier, 3-Tier, Microservice Architecture)
• Deep understanding of Architectural Patterns and when and where to apply them (e.g. Saga, API Gateway)
• Experience of modelling languages like Archimate/ UML
• Software development, Microsoft .Net Technologies (Full Stack including web)
• IT Infrastructure including on premises as well as IaaS and PaaS
• Business strategy and IT strategy
  Desirable Skills
• TOGAF Certified
• Experience of cloud technologies and architecting solutions in on the Azure/ MS 365 platform.
• Understanding and appreciation of Data Analytics and leveraging data as a business asset.
• Understanding and appreciation of the ITIL Service Lifecycle
• Understanding and appreciation of Analytics and AI
• Experience of Geographic Information Systems e.g. ESRI ArcGIS
