IT Solutions Consultant (Logistics)

Based in our brand new, state–of –the–art head office in Tolworth, our IT Business Consulting department is looking for a highly motivated, and driven individual to join the team and build a career in a fast paced and international environment.
Our IT department at Lidl GB is continuing to expand and plays a crucial role in our international success. In our Head Office alone, we have over 100 colleagues managing and supporting our solution landscape. Our Business Consulting department is currently looking for an IT Solutions Consultant who will be responsible for the implementation of solutions for our national network of distribution centres.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate IT Solutions Consultant who will proactively consult, advise on solutions and manage logistics solutions across all our regional distribution centres. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop and grow your career working for the largest retailer in Europe.
We have moved to a hybrid working model with a recommended 2 days in the office per week for appropriate Head Office and Regional roles, empowering our teams to choose how and where they work best. What you'll do
Manage Good Receipt Logistics solutions throughout their lifecycle from conception through to retirement Collaborate with business consultants on potential new IT solutions and improvements to existing solutions in Logistics Ensure the stability, security and quality of provided solutions Proactively liaise with Logistics and understand their needs as users Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the technical infrastructure as well as components / platforms in use Provide support and incident management for applicable solutions Participate in and lead projects at both national and international level Ensure excellent working relationships with business stakeholders both national and international, in particular with the Logistics team Collaborate with colleagues across the business to ensure the success and smooth operation of solutions
What you'll need
Working knowledge of logistics solutions, processes and operations In depth experience of the application lifecycle and all its phases, including gathering requirements, testing, deployment and maintenance Knowledge of SQL including running and writing scripts A confident project manager, able to set clear milestones and goals Great stakeholder management skills Ability to build great working relationships within the team and with business counterparts An understanding of application security and governance practices is highly beneficial Interest in learning SAP EWM specifically Goods receipt The ability to liaise and communicate at both a technical and non–technical level A strong work ethos Comfortable multitasking a diverse portfolio of projects and tasks A technical, analytical and inquisitive mindset Occasional travel to Regional Distribution Centres
