Job description

The Role The Supplier Manager, who reports to the Head of ITS Supplier Management, is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of suppliers throughout their entire lifecycle. This includes overseeing procurement processes, managing contracts, monitoring suppliers’ performance, controlling costs, and mitigating risks. Additionally, the Supplier Manager is expected to play a role in team development and process enhancement to ensure continuous improvement and effective support for stakeholders. The Person The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate: Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, including conflict resolution, and fostering collaboration to achieve mutual goals. Experience in managing and facilitating procurement processes, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements. This includes understanding legal terms, pricing structures, and service level agreements (SLAs). Experience in establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), tracking supplier performance against these metrics, and implementing corrective actions as necessary. Proficiency in managing supplier-related costs within budgetary constraints. Ability to identify potential risks associated with supplier relationships and develop strategies to mitigate them. This involves assessing supplier stability, compliance risks, geopolitical factors, and other external influences that may impact operations. Track record of identifying inefficiencies in supplier management processes and implementing enhancements to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
