Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled IT Support Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing timely and effective technical support to our apps and online platform users, addressing hardware and software issues, and ensuring minimal disruption to their work. Collaboration with other IT specialists, documentation of problem resolution, and delivering excellent customer service are integral aspects of this role.
Key Job Responsibilities:
• Provide timely and effective technical support to our apps and online platform users, addressing hardware and software issues;
• Offer guidance to users on troubleshooting and resolving technical problems, ensuring minimal disruption to their work;
• Install, configure, and upgrade hardware components, cables, operating systems, and software applications;
• Ensure that all installations and upgrades are conducted efficiently and according to established protocols;
• Facilitate user access to various systems, networks, and software applications, ensuring proper authorization and security measures are in place;
• Collaborate with other IT specialists to troubleshoot and resolve intricate problems;
• Document detailed information on problem resolution, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of work in progress, calls received, and actions taken;
• Deliver excellent customer service by communicating effectively with end-users and ensuring a positive support experience;
• Act as a point of contact for IT-related inquiries and strive to exceed user expectations;
• Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to streamline support processes and contribute to the overall improvement of IT services.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as an IT Support Technician or similar role.
- Entrants typically possess GCSEs/S grades and A levels/H grades together with appropriate NVQ/SVQ (Levels 2, 3 or 4) or an equivalent vocational qualification.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users.
