We are constructing a state-of-the-art underground mine to enable the extraction of Polyhalite – a unique multi-nutrient fertilizer – along with the necessary infrastructure both above and below ground that will be required for transport, processing and distribution.
Poly4 is our flagship multi-nutrient fertiliser product. Made from Polyhalite, it contains four of the six macro-nutrients and many micronutrients that are essential to plant growth. It allows farmers to maximise their crop yield, increase quality and improve soil structure and one simple product.
Job Description
-Join us as an IT Support Engineer, where you will play a key role in providing in-house user support on computer applications and platforms. Supporting the wider team, the role will involve troubleshooting common user issues, planning for future needs and installing networking infrastructure around the site.
Your duties will include;
- Respond to requests for technical assistance.
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware, network and software issues.
- Research questions using available information resources.
- Log all Helpdesk interactions and flag recurring problems.
- Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention.
- Track/route problems and requests accordingly and document resolutions.
- Assist the onsite IT Project Manager with site specific IT projects including documentation, planning and coordinating with contractors.
- Ensure all IT inventories at the site are up to date to support on-going and upcoming IT projects.
- -An in-depth understanding of typical corporate software and equipment.
- Qualified to minimum of Level 3 Diploma/NVQ or equivalent in related subject.
- The ability to work under own initiative and offer user support to a large team.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Good analytical and methodical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to assess each employee's IT knowledge and offer support accordingly.
- Up-to-date technical knowledge.
- Good interpersonal, customer care and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of general Health and Safety, knowledge of permit to work systems is desirable.
- Good attention to detail, including accurate record keeping, documentation and stock management.
- The ability to code and knowledge of Fibre and Wireless technologies would be an advantage.
