JOB TITLE: IT Support Technician
LOCATION: Derby, Derbyshire, United Kingdom
SALARY: £20,000 - £25,000 PLUS 30 Days Holiday (Rising with Service), Flexible Working Hours, Company Bonus, Employee Assistance Package, Training Certifications / Qualifications and Private Pension
I am looking for an IT Support Technician to join an industry leading Finance Business based in Derby, Derbyshire. The role will involve working with the latest technologies to provide technical support and maintenance to the company's customers and internal staff.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent technical knowledge and experience in the IT sector, as well as excellent customer facing skills. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to make their move into IT, or looking to develop their skills into a highly skilled IT Engineer.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide first line technical support and troubleshooting to customers
- Proactively monitor customer systems and applications
- Install and configure software and hardware
- Diagnose and repair faults in both hardware and software
- Provide IT support and training to customers
- Liaise with third party suppliers
- Assist in the development of new products and services
- Ensure all customer service level agreements are met
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and software issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- A proactive and highly organised approach
