IT Support Technician
Location: Bristol, UK (Remote)
Job Description:
Join a dynamic team as an IT Support Specialist, providing 1st and 2nd line support to clients in Bristol. This remote position allows you to showcase your technical expertise while enjoying the flexibility of working from home. Occasional on-site visits in Bristol will be required to address specific needs. A large part of the role is customer service oriented, and we have a strong long-term working relationship with all our clients. As part of this the role has an expectancy for high level customer service which requires excellent communication and key skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide prompt and efficient first-line technical support to end-users via phone so strong communication skills are a must!
2. Monitor client services so all systems are working as expected and act on any warnings received into the ticket system. This may rage from backups, hardware, software, and networking issues.
4. Pro-actively monitor systems and perform routine maintenance tasks.
5. Install, configure, and update software applications.
6. Ensure adherence to IT policies and procedures.
7. Update tickets with full details of the case as it progresses through to conclusion.
Requirements:
1. Full UK Driving License.
Proven experience in a first-line IT support role, desirably a managed service provider
2. Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
3. Familiarity with basic networking concepts.
4. Microsoft 365 Products - Azure AD, Exchange Online, Office, SharePoint are preferred.
5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team.
6. Willingness to travel to client sites in Bristol for occasional on-site support.
7. IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator) are a plus.
8. Proven experience in a first-line IT support role, desirably a managed service provider.
