It Systems Engineer

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced IT Systems Engineer with a background in the nuclear/defence sectors to be engaged on a permanent basis in Warrington, Cheshire.
Responsibilities:

• System Design including complex systems integration
• System Installation
• Project Management
• Commissioning
• Support and Maintenance
• Remote Monitoring
• Maintain our high standards particularly regarding customer communications and response times
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of clients current operating systems and standard software packages
• Work with clients suppliers and other IT partners
• Engage in training opportunities to further personal and professional develop/skills and knowledge in key areas.
• Support IT projects and other IT initiatives as directed by line management

• Excellent communication, relationship and stakeholder management skills
• Proven knowledge of business and IT operational equipment support capability
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Leadership, with a proven ability to influence and persuade across a complex organisation
• Ability to recognise priorities and guide others towards the accomplishment of IT solutions aligned to strategic business goals and objectives
• Displays confidence and resilience, plus an energy to deliver results
• Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
• Excellent team working skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex IT/technology solutions in a coherent manner
• Proven experience in supporting cloud based applications and software
• Ability to prioritise work, anticipate needs, and maintain a level head in a fast paced, changing & demanding environment

Qualifications/Certifications such as: Microsoft Azure Admin, ITIL Foundation or ITIL Practitioner
