Job description

Company Description

Catch22 is a social business: a not-for-profit business with a social mission.

We’ve been a charity for over 200 years, designing and delivering services that build resilience and aspiration in people and communities across the UK.

The Coppice Spring Academy

The Coppice Spring Academy is part of the Catch22 Multi Academies Trust (MAT). The Catch22 MAT is the vehicle for our sponsorship of several academies across England focusing on learners who can benefit from small, supportive alternative and special education provision.

We provide placements for students from across Hampshire and West Berkshire. We aim to meet the needs of secondary aged (11-16) boys and girls who have difficulty managing social interactions, positive relationships and recognizing and regulating their emotions. Many of our students have a diagnosis (or identified traits) of an Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). As a result, the school has developed a greater specialism to meet these specific needs. As an educational establishment, we strive to improve academic outcomes, whilst acknowledging that communication, social skills, mental health and emotional development are the priority for our students.

Job Description

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about teaching IT, and highly skilled at effectively engaging students – not just to pass an exam, but to be able to complete day activities that involve IT, to a high standard. Our students often require support to build trusting relationships with professionals, so you will have high expectations, and a belief that students can succeed. You will help raise the academic profile of The Coppice Spring Academy.
