Our client, a global leader in geoscience technology, is seeking an experienced HPC/IT Team Leader to join their innovative team.

As a Senior HPC/Linux IT Support Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in providing senior-level applications support for data centers, contributing to the seamless operation of both internal and third-party applications and databases across Linux and Windows environments.

Join our global HPC team. Reporting to the Data Center IT Services Manager, you will play a key role in shaping their technology infrastructure and driving innovation in our HPC and Cloud environment. Your responsibilities will include mentoring team members, improving system efficiency, and ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of our platforms.

Principle Accountabilities:

• Mentor and coach team members
• Improve and develop systems, technology, and infrastructure
• Ensure efficient operational maintenance and tool usage
• Understand client needs and provide technical solutions
• Maintain stability, availability, and performance of platforms

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field

Skills and Competencies: Essential:

• 3-5 years of leadership experience
• Minimum 5 years' experience in relevant fields
• Extensive Linux administration experience in HPC environments
• Agile Project Management knowledge
• Experience with FAI, Puppet, and Zabbix
• ITIL Foundation certification
• Strong problem-solving skills and methodical approach
• Enthusiasm for learning and adaptability
• Effective communication skills

Desirable:

• Understanding of DevOps methodologies
• Knowledge of Ansible, OpenStack, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Docker, etc.
• Scripting and automation skills
• Cloud administration experience
• Virtualization knowledge
• Hardware maintenance experience
