Our client is a provider of telecommunication & IT urgently requires an experienced technician to be based at their office near Llanelli to configure and pre-stage VOIP equipment before shipment and installation. The employer is based in South Wales has a Europe wide reach and a reputation for innovative services and excellent customer care. They have over 30 years’ experience in the telecommunication sector and partner with the biggest names in the industry to create bespoke solutions for our business customers. Their product portfolio includes Broadband, SIP, VOIP, Mobile, IT Support & Equipment, Network Design, CCTV & Data Services..
Full run through of the configuration process will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and pre-stage VOIP PBX systems for large retail chain
- Implement fixes and improvements as released by the service provider
- Liaise with the end customer to ensure successful pre-stage
- Reporting progress to Engineering Manager
- Work closely with project lead to maintain configuration targets
Requirements
Essential
- Good understanding of TCP-IP
- Working knowledge of VOIP, RTP, SIP
- Excellent time management skills
Desirable
- Knowledge of Wildix platform
- Ability to use Wireshark
- Basic knowledge of Linux commands (search, copy, move, run)
