Form of workJob Purpose:To process jewellery and watches into either scrap or saleable goods, to deliver proactive customerservice in order to achieve Jewellery Centre TargetsThis role will provide administration support to the Jewellery Centre. It will include the pricing ofjewellery and watches, processing jewellery and watches, sending and receiving watches for repair,building stock for auction. Flexibility is required and it is also expected to support the managementteam.
Key Responsibilities:To decide whether goods received at the JC are in a condition that they can be resold through ourstores through a variety of checks to help maintain the flow of stock through the centre andultimately leading to retail sales generating revenue for the business.• Sort stock into scrap/refurb jewellery and watches from stock received from the stores.• Process identified scrap as non-saleable stock.• Provide inventory control function for jewellery and watch items maintained at the centre.• Process any other items of jewellery purchased from outside suppliers.• Transfer stock from the centre out to the stores dependant on requirements given bymerchandising.• Keep accurate filing and records to assist with auditable control.• Following a period of training be able to clean items of Jewellery and /or watches to acommercially acceptable standard that the items can be disposed of through various outletsto generate cash revenue for the business.• To assign a retail price to watches• Accurate data entry to a consistent standard• Responding to email repair estimates• Answer the telephone in the jewellery and watch dept to aid stores/service centres.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.• Any other reasonable management request• QC check of watch stock prior to dispatch• Accurately identify types watches and process into relevant areas
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:• Customer service – dealing with store enquiries• Computer literacy• Planning & organisation• Verbal communication• Be able to work to deadlines• Adaptable to multiple roles dependant on business needs• Good Standard of Education• Some experience of watches preferred, but not essential• Good Communicator• Attention To detail
