Salary: £26,000 - £35,000

Overview:

Hardman Grey Recruitment are currently seeking a Joiner/ Cabinet Maker on behalf of our manufacturing client.

The Joiner/ Cabinet Maker will be responsible for:

• Using a high level of joinery skills to make furniture
• Reading and understanding construction drawings
• Operating wood machinery and be qualified to do so
• Applying secondary materials such as inlays, metal trims, glass and leather
• Selecting, cutting, jointing and pressing using a hydraulic press and bag press

The ideal Joiner / Cabinet Maker candidate will have:

• Understanding of design and fine detail
• Knowledge of cabinet jointing and assembly using power tool jointers
• Knowledge of installing fittings, drawer runners, hinges and architectural ironmongery
• Experience with a wide range of timbers, veneers, substrates and manufactured boards
• High personal standards for presentation of work
• Good communication skills
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
