Our client are a specialist joinery contractor who deliver high quality joinery services to Main Contractors and clients across the North West. Their extensive track record encompasses successful projects spanning the Residential, Education, Commercial, Leisure, and Healthcare sectors, earning an excellent reputation as a dependable, budget-friendly, and contemporary joinery subcontractor.
They are now recruiting for an Estimator to join their business.
Duties and responsibilities to include:
* Study the drawings and compare their quotes.
* Build pricing schedules and cost tender package, ensuring the costs are relevant to the tender specification and finishes documents.
* Formulate the project preliminaries and clearly qualify the submission.
* Compile tender specific presentations for client meetings.
* Conversing with clients/external designers to fully understand requirements prior to quoting
* Provide a complete estimation service for all joinery products.
* Interrogation of bills of quantities, Schedules, Specifications and Architect drawings.
* Identify labour, material, and time requirements by assessing proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents alike.
* Analyse quotes to maximise the company's ability to be competitively priced
* Attend and arrange pre and post-tender meetings.
* Follow up enquiries; negotiate costings and budgets.
* Attend site for surveys and meetings with clients.
