Junior Architectural Technologist required to support a small family-owned construction surveying practice in Leicester.

The Junior Architectural Technologist Role

The successful Junior Architectural Technologist will support the Architectural Technologists with various projects across multiple sectors, initially starting off with residential projects

The Junior Architectural Technologist can except to have assistance in becoming chartered (CIAT)

Must be able to use AutoCAD, and ideally SketchUp and Lumion would be highly beneficial

• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of planning and building control applications.
• Assist in the production of technical drawings, specifications, and schedules for the development of building projects.
• Submit drawings and liaise with the Local Planning Authority and Building Control Body.
• Liaise with Structural and Civil Engineers on a daily basis to produce co-ordinated building packages.
• Accurately record information issued and received to and from clients, consultants, contractors.
• Attend and contribute to progress meetings and design workshops as required.

Junior Architectural Technologist

• AutoCAD experience
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations, building systems and construction types.
• Excellent organisation skills.
• Strong technical skills.
• Ability to work both as an individual and part of a team.
• Have a strong work ethic and provide attention to detail.
• A Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car for visiting sites.
