About the Role

Our Software QA team is a friendly and fast-paced place to work. Playing a key role within the overall IT Development strategy, the team operate modern software development practices across a number of development teams, working across various product lines. The Software QA team are responsible for testing new and updated software for functionality, usability and performance whilst continually contributing to the innovation and improvement of our products and services. 

As a Junior Automated Test Engineer, you will have an excellent opportunity to improve your knowledge on the fundamentals of software testing. You will contribute to the development and execution of Automated Tests for Newcastle Strategic Solutions internet savings and mortgage platforms. You will design, build, test and deploy effective test automation solutions, with the aim of automating as much of the testing effort as possible with a minimum set of code/scripts, with a focus on quality. As an integral member of a development team, you will collaborate with software testers, developers and UX designers on to delivery of software solutions.

Our core applications are developed and delivered using .Net Core, C#, ASP.Net, Blazor pages, MAUI/Xamarin, Azure, Web API, WCF, oAuth, Microsoft Visual Studio, CI/CD with TFS, AzureDevOps, Git, Docker, Kubernetes and Octopus Deploy, Microsoft SQL Server, HTML, JavaScript, JSON, REST.

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about software testing and the delivery of high-quality software. You’ll have had exposure to test automation and software testing processes, ideally, with some coding experience. We can help to you to learn and develop your skills.
