Job Summary:
Assist in the underwriting process for Bridging Finance applications, learning and contributing to risk assessment, documentation review, and communication with stakeholders. This role provides hands-on experience in financial analysis and decision-making under the guidance of seasoned underwriters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyse loan applications for eligibility and adherence to guidelines.
- Collaborate with senior underwriters to assess borrower financials and collateral.
- Assist in evaluating creditworthiness, identifying risks, and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Examine and verify documentation accuracy and completeness.
- Work with the documentation team to gather necessary information.
- Interact with brokers, clients, and stakeholders for information clarification.
- Contribute to effective communication of underwriting decisions.
- Utilize financial models and analysis tools to assess relevant information.
- Participate in training programs to enhance understanding of Bridging Finance and underwriting.
- Work collaboratively with departments to ensure smooth underwriting processes.
- Learn and adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience within a lender or broker background acting as an underwriter or case manager.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
