Job Title: Junior Buyer
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: GBP28,000 - GBP33,000
Location: South Leicestershire
I am currently working with a leading manufacturing business based in South Leicestershire, who are on the lookout for a Junior Buyer to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Junior Buyer job will work closely alongside the Procurement and Supply Chain department, and have exposure to a wide variety of tasks and learning/development opportunities.
As a Junior Buyer, you will be responsible for:
- Supplier engagement - looking into ways of improving supplier performance, reducing costs and streamline processes.
- Order management.
- Ensuring KPI's and SLAs are on track/achieved.
- Maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Providing administrative support to the Purchasing and Supply Chain department with internal projects.
- Sourcing new suppliers that offer higher quality of goods, better lead times, and value for money.
- Supporting the Senior Buyers with projects around cost-reduction, risk-reduction and improvement.
