Role:Junior Buyer
Location: Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
Salary: £30,000 DOE

Our Appliances Direct team are committed to providing our customers with a diverse range of high-quality products. We are currently seeking an ambitious Junior Buyer, to work closely with the senior team to manage the P&L of a diverse range of products within the appliances category. You will support the team in continuing the growth of an already successful category. Your enthusiasm and fresh perspective will contribute to the success of the business unit and give you the opportunity to develop your career.
Your Role:
- Assist in cultivating and managing strong relationships with suppliers.
- Collaborate on building and maintaining a product range aligned with our business unit strategy.
- Contribute to understanding our customers' needs and delivering solutions with a 360-degree perspective.
- Work closely with the merchandiser to contribute to maintaining OTB while maximising sales.
- Keep abreast of market trends and competitor activities, assisting in analysing data to help predict future trends.
- Contribute to the development and management of a promotional calendar, supporting the marketing team to maximise sales opportunities.
- Supporting the Trading team product with correct product setup and visibility.
- Monitoring and reducing return rates, working collaboratively with brands to minimise return costs.
- Assist in managing SOA and promotional plans.
Skills and Experience:
- Aspiring Buyer with a developing commercial acumen and data analysis skills.
- Quick to spot trends and eager to act on them with a keen eye for detail.
- Ambitious with a passion for achieving success.
- A great negotiator
- Experience of working as a Junior Buyer ideally within retail or ecommerce
- Able to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative and willing to learn from the senior team members.
