We are currently searching for a Junior Buyer / Purchaser specialising in Engineering products and parts to support the customer experience purchasing items to aid new designs, new builds and repairs.

Junior Buyer / Purchasing - Engineering - Key Skills Hands on approach to your work is absolutely key.
Strong negotiation and be on the phone problem solving skills.
Positive work ethic.
Engineering Degree or similar experience is advantageous, but not essential.
Keen understanding and interest in mechanical engineering for Manufacturing Building industries
3 year industry experience in purchasing or buying ideally from engineering or manufacturing.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Strong Excel and Word skills. Balance many tasks at the same time. Attention to detail. Positive attitude and manner.
Excellent communicator to develop and build customer relationship.

Role: Support and improve the purchasing activities for the business. Making sure availability and continuity of products at the best possible price. Strong negotiation. Cross Functionally support teams with estimating for products. Cost reporting. Identifying trends. Source prospective suppliers and build strong relationships with current suppliers. Work to production schedules. Manage efficient stock levels.
