Title: Junior Buyer
Location: Central London Office (The Strand)
Schedule: Fulltime (35 hours PW), Mon - Fri, 8 am to 4 pm

We are seeking a detail-oriented, K-Beauty-obsessed Junior Buyer to join our team, who will play a crucial role in sourcing and managing our rapidly growing brand portfolio. Your responsibilities will include product selection, brand management, negotiation, and inventory control - plus, you'll get to work closely with some of your favourite Korean beauty brands!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Brand Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with our brand partners. Maintain strong partnerships including updates and sales reports to secure the best pricing and promotional support.
- Product Selection: Collaborate with the purchasing team leader and broader team to create trend reports and a diverse and appealing assortment of Korean beauty products. Stay updated on industry trends and consumer preferences.
- Shipments: Assist in managing shipments by arranging and negotiating freight services, and providing detailed packing documents for the warehouse team.
- Inventory Control: Work with the team leader and retail team to monitor inventory levels and sales data to make informed decisions on restocking, discontinuing, or adding new products for each sales channel.
- Market Research: Conduct and present market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, new brands, and opportunities within the Korean beauty market. Participate in product testing sessions and provide detailed feedback.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with the team leader and warehouse team to ensure all products meet our standards and comply with UK regulatory requirements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to plan promotions, marketing strategies, and in-store merchandising.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Strong passion and existing knowledge of the Korean beauty industry.
- Qualification in Business, Buying, or a related field (preferred).
- Any relevant experience in buying, procurement, or merchandising is a plus (but not essential).
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Any level of spoken/written Korean is a plus (but not essential)
- Analytical mindset with strong numeracy skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
