Junior Cad Technician

Abatec is currently looking for a Trainee / Junior CAD Technician for our client based in Weston-Super-Mare.

As a CAD Technician, you will play a key role in the team, responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating detailed CAD drawings and production drawings using AutoCAD and Solidworks.
• Collaborating with Engineers and designers to develop and modify designs according to project requirements.
• Conducting quality control checks on completed designs.
• Developing sign-off drawings for specials and standards using AutoCAD.
• Preparing and maintaining documentation related to design projects.
• Ensuring timely delivery within customer requirement deadlines.

Our client are looking for a CAD Technician with:

• Solid Experience with AutoCAD/Solidworks
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and design standards
• Preferably, prior experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Background in construction, carpentry, furniture, water, or similar fields would be a definite advantage.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, contractors, and all parties involved in the design process.
