The salary is negotiable and will be commensurate with experience.As an award-winning, national law firm, our client is a trailblazer and a staple in the legal industry. Due to ongoing growth, they are recruiting a Junior Catastrophic Injury Associate to contribute to and learn from a team handling high-stakes and complex Catastrophic Injury cases. Along with working in the employers and public liability team within the casualty region of the firm. The team deals with a wide variety of work for major insurers and private nominations. The work is complex and often involves representing household names. The ideal candidate will be a talented Litigation Executive who has prior experience of handling a caseload of lower value large loss files, working on behalf of the major insurance firms. The firm will consider up to Junior Associate/ Chartered Legal Executive level for this position.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of Catastrophic Injury cases, working under the guidance of experienced associates.
  • Conduct thorough case assessments, legal research, and contribute to strategic counsel for clients.
  • Collaborate with senior associates, medical experts, clients, and legal colleagues for comprehensive case support.
  • Stay abreast of legal developments in Catastrophic Injury law and related fields.
  • Practice a proactive approach to case assessment and settlement.
  • Handling a caseload of employers and public liability claims from inception through to closure, under supervision.
  • Ability to make early liability assessments on cases.
  • Ability to consider and reach conclusions on liability.
  • Ability to assess quantum.
