Our client is a well-established law firm based in Bootle L20, offering a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to join their team due to continued business growth.
We are looking for a diligent, confident, self-motivated, and experienced person to fill the role of Junior Costs Draftsperson. Full training will be provided by the Costs team along with guidance and support throughout your employment with them, helping you to gain the skills and experience for progression to a Senior Costs draftsperson.
** Roles and Responsibilities**

• As a Trainee Law Costs Draftsperson, you will prepare costs claims for submission to opposing solicitors or the courts and have the chance to work on negotiations with opponents.
• To prepare bill of costs for detailed assessment
• To prepare cost claims for submission to opposing solicitor and the Courts
• To undertake negotiations
• To prepare Statement of Costs for summary assessment
• To prepare costs budgets
• To liaise and advise with fee earners and support staff in relation to any costs related query.
• Undertaking other duties reasonably required by partners or senior management.

** What we need from you: **

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience of Cost Drafting experience
• Experience in drafting bills of costs
• Able to demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills including oral and written presentation skills.

** Job details and benefits**

• Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
• Salary: Negotiable dependent upon experience
• Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

• 22 days holiday (excluding bank holidays) increasing to 25 after 3 years’ service
