What the company are seeking: 

This company is seeking a Junior Solar Design Engineer to join their supportive team. In this role, you will assist the lead Design Engineer and provide efficient design implementation, from the initial concept through to the final as-built drawings and documentation. You will contribute to the company's goal of saving 1 million tonnes of CO2 by 2025. They are looking for a candidate passionate about renewable energy systems, with a keen eye for detail, ready to hit the ground running.
What are your responsibilities as a Junior Solar Design Engineer?

• Assist the Lead Design Engineer with project specifications and technical support, focusing on CAD designs for Solar PV systems with and without battery storage.
• Provide solutions for projects, including commercial rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV installations.
• Coordinate and collaborate with team members and stakeholders throughout the design process.
• Assess project yield estimates and costs, contributing to developing cost-effective designs.
• Utilize PV planning and modelling software such as PVsyst and PVsol.

What makes you a successful candidate for the Junior Solar Design Engineerrole?

• Experience using CAD design software, specifically PV Sol or PV Syst.
• The successful candidate will have qualifications or experience in electrical engineering and renewable energy solution-based roles.
