Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Junior Designer to join a fast paced, dynamically evolving company that has experienced year or year growth for the last 15 years! They are ideally looking for someone who can be responsible for creating user-centric and visually appealing designs for their websites, digital systems and marketing platforms. As well have, a strong undesatdning of user experience (UX) and user interface design (UI) design principles.

Some of the responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior team members to create user personas and user journeys.

  • Conceptualise and create wireframes, prototypes, and design concepts for web and mobile applications, ensuring they align with user needs and our design system standards.

  • Iterate and optimize designs based on feedback.

  • Confidently communicate design decisions to stakeholders and team members.

  • Contribute to user research planning and conduct usability testing to gather insights that guide design decisions and enhance product usability.

  • Participate in design reviews and brainstorming sessions to contribute innovative ideas and solutions.

  • Support in the development of design documentation, including comprehensive style guides and design specifications.

  • You can expect to work on a wide range of projects, ranging from full website designs, page designs and marketing material.

  • You will be working closely with the lead developer, marketing department and key business stakeholders, the ability to communicate in a clear way and manage project time and expectations is essential for this role.

Some of the requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Graphic Design)

  • 1+ years experience working as a Product designer or a similar role

  • Experience working in a UX/UI role, or something similar, ideally with a knowledge of user research methodology, concept testing and best practices

  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, or similar.

  • Strong visual design skills with a keen eye for detail, aesthetics, and usability.
