Our client based in Wrexham is looking for a Junior Development Chef to join their team on a permanent basis. We are looking for a foodie with a positive, can-do approach. If you are looking to develop a career in a food business, learning from and supporting our client’s Development Chef, then this is the role for you.

Performance Objectives

• From day one you will be working closely with our client’s Development Chef, being trained on their market leading product sampling service, which you will take over and will be central to the role and daily activity, together with involvement in customer visits and marketing activity.
• From managing sample requests to packing and sending out to customers, attention to detail is key to giving the best possible first impression as well as following up for feedback.
• You will also have the opportunity to meet customers whether that is supporting the team at National Exhibitions or wholesaler and cash and carry events, working together with the Development Chef, marketing, and sales team.
• This is a great opportunity to develop your skills as a Development Chef and helping customers develop menus incorporating our client’s range of fully cooked and IQF poultry products.
• A broad role with the opportunity to experience all areas of the business.

Person Specification

• Do you have experience in the hospitality sector and looking for a change or a general interest in food service?
• We’re looking for someone to join the team who’s happy working in a fast-paced environment, has good Microsoft office skills, is a team player, keen to learn new skills.
• You’ll need to be able to organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
• Full driving licence and own transport is essential.
