About the role
We are recruiting for a DevOps EngineerDevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced and innovative team. The role of the Graduate DevOps Engineer at NFP is to manage end-to-end release processes, ensuring smooth and efficient software deployments. The role will be working closely with both the DevOps team in the US and the App Engineering and System Architect teams in the UK.
Overview of duties
Manage end-to-end release processes, ensuring smooth and efficient software deployments.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
Utilise Azure DevOps tools to orchestrate and automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, configuration management, system administration tasks, and IIS setup.
Configure, optimise, and troubleshoot IIS (Internet Information Services) for hosting web applications.
Monitor and troubleshoot issues in production and staging environments, providing timely resolutions.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimise system performance, security, and scalability.
Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance the DevOps processes.
Person specification
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Proficient in Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance.
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Strong scripting skills in PowerShell for automation tasks, including IIS configuration.
Experience in configuring, securing, and optimising IIS for hosting web applications.
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts and tools.
Experience with version control systems (Git and TFVC) and collaborative code repositories.
Knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker and container orchestration with Kubernetes.
Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration principles.
Continuous learning mindset and enthusiasm for staying updated on industry trends.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Education / and or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience integrating any SAST and DAST tools.
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on release management.
Solid business process skills, ability to think outside the box to deliver project objective.
Microsoft Azure certifications
