- Hours: 39 hours Monday to Friday

My client, a pioneer in mechanical engineering, has an amazing opportunity for an entry level Mechanical Engineering Graduate to join its team as a Junior Engineer. The employee-focus global company, with its HQ in Hampden Park, will offer fantastic opportunities for a Graduate looking for a career in Engineering, initially in a role supporting the engineering team.
Duties will include:
- Supporting the various engineering functions within the business, including applications, product engineering and design engineering.
- Assisting the applications department with pump selection, data sheets and other pre-order activities.
- Assisting product engineers in generating and configuring BoM’s, parts and routings for new orders.
- Assisting product engineers with basic 3D modelling and assembly in Siemens NX – performing package checks to ensure pump selection is correct.
- Assisting with creating manufacturing drawings from design created by the design engineers.
- Creating client documentation like installation drawings, sectionals, parts lists and P&ID’s.
- Actioning change notes for client documentation and project documentation
- Ensuring targets are on-track, reporting issues and using initiative and innovation to problem solve and aid in growth.
You must be a qualified mechanical engineer (HNC or degree level) or similar discipline, have basic knowledge of mechanical engineering like materials, fluid mechanics and structural engineering and be proficient in using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Knowledge of ‘TeamCenter’ and ‘NX’ or similar CAD software, an understanding of pumps and a basic electrical knowledge related to industrial motors and instrumentation would be an advantage.
