Junior Estimator

We are currently recruiting for a well established company in the Nelson area. They are looking to recruit a Junior Estimator on a permanent basis. This is an existing opportunity for someone who is looking for a gradual career progression. See some of the duties and responsibilities below.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Assisting the Estimator in calculating the cost of materials required for each project.
• Liaising with Clients & Suppliers on a daily basis regarding projects.
• Working closely with other departments regarding time frames etc.
• Negotiating with customers regarding projects.
• Working to deadlines in a fast paced environment.

Skills required :

• You must possess and demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong mathematical skills and the ability to have the basic knowledge and understanding of drawings.
• Knowledge within the joinery sector would be considered highly beneficial.
• Driving licence is preferred.

Hours & salary :

• Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm & Friday 8am – lunchtime
• On-site parking.
• Yearly bonus.
• Salary £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience.
