Position Overview: They are currently seeking a dynamic and ambitious Junior Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to gain valuable experience in estimating and quantity surveying within the commercial construction sector. The successful candidate will work closely with their experienced team and receive ample support and guidance to develop their skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial projects.
- Collaborate with senior estimators and project managers to understand project requirements.
- Conduct research on materials, labour costs, and other project-related expenses.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and submissions.
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.
- Support the management of project budgets and monitor financial performance.
- Attend site visits and meetings to gain practical insights into project requirements.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Knowledge or understanding of commercial construction projects is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Salary: The salary for this position is GBP26,000 to GBP30,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
