The location: Watford, Office based
The hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 17.30pm
The salary: Circa £25k depending on experience.
The role:
- Working across man, woman and children clothing design from start to finish
- Work with the Product Developer
- Amend CAD Overviews, CAD drawings
- Responsible for the final result being excellent and matching the spec
- Create Overviews
- Convert designs to JPEG
- Check system for approvals
- Approve lab dip, print strike offs and embroideries
- Measure and prepare samples
- Liaise with Garment Technicians
- Ensure all fabric qualities, fabric colours, embroideries, prints, trims and labelling /packaging are correct
- Box and categorise samples
- Attend buyer meetings.
The person:
- Currently working in the fashion industry.
- Minimum one to two years of product experience in apparel.
- Good Communication skills
- Problem-solving skills and ability to use own initiative and be self-driven.
- Experience in dealing with overseas factories.
- Ability to deal with multiple data.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Ability to measure samples.
- IT Skills: MS Excel & Word Illustrator and competent with the ability to amend CADs, work with tech packs, measure fitting, etc.
