We are seeking a technically aware and enthusiastic Junior Front-end Web Developer to join our team in our Kingston studio, South West London.
We are looking for frontend graduates or equivalent looking for their step into the industry, who are passionate, appreciate user experience and design and have a good attention to detail, back up with Syrox’s training and support.
Established for over 10 years Syrox Emedia is an app and web development solution provider dedicated to providing high quality online and mobile applications.
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about front-end development, appreciate user experience and design, have a good attention to detail and proactively experiment with upcoming front-end technologies.
Essential skills:
We require someone with a keen interest in creating fantastic online user experiences, as well as the following skills, experience and knowledge:
- This is primarily a position for a Junior Front-end Web Developer, although commercial experience isn’t necessary
- Your portfolio should demonstrate your projects, your involvement and technologies used
- You must be a Graduate or equivalent, be based in London or the surrounding area and have a UK work permit
- Solid XHTML, CSS, LESS, SASS, HTML, Ajax, Javascript, jQuery etc
- Understanding of responsive CSS and design
- Good working knowledge of solving cross-browser issues
- Understanding of Web Usability, Accessibility Standards and User Interaction
- Good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
- A strong understanding of the possibilities and potential of online content
- Good communication skills with the ability to accurately interpret briefs and respond in timely turnarounds
other desirable skils:
Though this is primarily a front end development role any additional knowledge of the following will also be an advantage:
- Understanding of database driven web development including SQL and MySQL Server, ASP.NET (VB or C#) as well as using tools such as Visual Studio and Dreamweaver
- Understanding of eCommerce, SEO and online marketing techniques and strategies
