Job description

We are on the lookout for a Junior Full Stack (.NET C#) Engineer to join us! You'll be a core member of the team delivering new functionality for our products and continuously improving our tech stack, being fully involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.

In this role you will interact fully with every part of the business, especially as we grow. Meet Kirsty, one of the Engineers you'll be working very closely with -

  • Working as part of the Pod to develop our product suite
  • Being actively involved in every stage of the software development lifecycle
  • Involved in supporting our products
  • Active involvement in guild objectives across all development teams
  • Participating in the feedback culture within DrDoctor

OK, I’m interested. What experience do I need to have?

Must haves:

  • .NET C# development
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JS
  • SMSS (SQL server management studio)
  • Working knowledge of the different types of testing (unit, integrations, e2e, system, etc)
  • Experience in software delivery (build and deployment)
  • Familiarity with version control (Git)

Nice to haves:

  • Front-end development using Vue.js
  • Automated testing and CI/CD practices
  • Exposure to Azure
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code
  • RabbitMQ experience or Docker experience
  • Working within an Agile environment

Just to let you know too, we will need you to have the Right to Work in the UK, and as we work closely with the NHS, if we get to the stage where we make you an offer to join us, we will also need to undertake a DBS check.

As DrDoctor has grown, we are seeing more of our people wanting to socialise in different ways.

Whilst we know that some of us love to go to the pub, we want to make sure we are including a wide variety of activities and events for our teams to enjoy each other's company, we aim to continue creating an open space for anyone and everyone to suggest how they’d like to spend time with their teams.

We love a Summer and Christmas party and regular company/team socials and away days. In the past year or so, we have enjoyed AI Games, Agile Games, Terrarium Making, Wreath Making to name a few. In 2023 we held various events for celebrations such as Holi Festival, International Women’s Day, Pancake Day and Pride celebrations and our 11th Birthday!

Salary banding for this role is: £39,000 - £54,000
