Junior Import/ Export Operator

Are you passionate about logistics and international trade? We are seeking a motivated Junior Import/Export Operator to join our dynamic team at our ISO Tank Company based in Chester, England. As a Junior Import/Export Operator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the smooth flow of our tank containers

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate Import/Export Operations: Assist in coordinating import and export activities, including liaising with suppliers, carriers, and agents to ensure timely and efficient movement of ISO tanks.
• Documentation: Prepare and manage import/export documentation, including shipping documents, DG forms ect.
• Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with logistics partners to schedule and track shipments, monitor transit times, and resolve any issues or delays that may arise.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries, providing status updates, and resolving any issues related to import/export operations.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within import/export operations, and contribute to the implementation of best practices.

Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience in import/export operations or logistics is preferred but not required. Recent graduates or individuals with relevant internships are encouraged to apply.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
• Team Player: A collaborative attitude and willingness to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a dynamic and evolving industry.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with Quickbooks is a plus.
