About the role

Following an internal promotion, we have a new opportunity within the SAP Applications Team for a Junior Analyst to join our growing IT Department as we support the growth plan within Booker.

The successful candidate will handle daily support tasks, like taking care of the change and incident support queues, keeping everyone in the loop about updates and how calls were resolved, and teaming up with outside parties to ensure calls get resolved. Additionally, they\'ll help other members of the SAP Applications Team with activities like unit and acceptance testing, getting data ready, and training super-users.

The right candidate will be eager to learn, great at building relationships with our partners, know how to manage their time and tasks to meet the company\'s needs, and pay attention to the little things. If you\'ve worked with SAP before, that\'s a benefit. But don\'t worry; the successful candidate will undergo a detailed training program to teach them everything they need to succeed in their new role.

Role Responsibility

  • Day to day management of support tasks within the SAP team.
  • Working to identify issues impacting systems stability, availability or functionality, and then working promptly, jointly & proactively to resolve such issues.
  • Working alongside 3rd parties (e.g., IT Service Desk) and internal colleagues to manage incidents being assigned to the SAP team.
  • Work to reliably and efficiently produce timely and accurate management information.
  • Provide training and guidance to end users as required.
  • Comply with procedures to store and re-use IT equipment effectively and efficiently.
  • Support delivery of the SAP system roadmap.

You will need

  • Ability to identify system issues and then quickly, collaboratively, and actively tackling them together.
  • Desire to learn / add value / drive progress.
  • Excellence in building positive relationships with business stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and determine what needs to be actioned first.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and a flexible approach to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, communicating effectively and efficiently with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
