Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to work with Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust's Digital Solutions Programme Team.
You will be supporting the Trust as part of a team of experienced IT professionals, through a period of technological transformation following a merger in April 2020, overseeing the implementation of new software, hardware, and services across the two main hospital sites as we integrate our IT functions.
You will be highly motivated and enthusiastic, responsible for leading on smaller/medium projects where you may have to play a strong leadership role.
As a Junior IT Project Manager you will work as part of a Digital Programme and be primarily concerned with the delivery of projects within the trust. The post holder will act as the technical/IT lead and be the liaison between projects and the IT Department. You will be required to facilitate any IT requirement of projects including both local IT and external companies. You will be expected to lead on small to medium projects where you may have to play a strong leadership role.
The Junior Project Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of one or more small to medium projects within time, cost and quality requirements. The projects will usually be individual projects, stages of a larger project, or workstreams of a programme with dependencies on other projects within the programme.
Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital services to a growing population of around 700,000 people living across Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas across two busy hospital sites in Bedford and Luton. Both hospital sites offer key services such as A&E, Obstetrics-led Maternity and Paediatrics.
You will be joining a friendly, high performing Trust committed to ensuring the health and wellbeing of staff. As one of the largest NHS Trusts in our region you will have access to a programme of high quality training and development to help you grow your career.
We have state-of-the art facilities placing us at the heart of cutting edge health care. The Trust continues to be committed to delivering the best patient care using the best clinical knowledge and technology available.
Please note that vacancies may close prior to the advertised closing date when sufficient number of applications have been received. Please ensure that you make your application as soon as possible.
All new staff will be subject to a probationary period covering their first six months in post. Travel between hospital sites may be required.
Please review all documents attached to this advert to ensure you familiarise yourself with all requirements of the job.
