Junior It Support Engineer

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with great technical skills and aptitude to join our client as a Junior IT Support Engineer.

Working alongside the IT Support Manager, you will be the first point of call when problems arise with Windows desktops/laptops and Microsoft 365 queries and troubleshooting.

You will be assisting the Manager in VMWare maintenance, monitoring systems to pro-actively prevent downtime, troubleshooting problems both in person and remotely. You will be involved configuring, testing and servicing desktop and laptop computers.

You will also have the opportunity to enhance your experience with a number of technologies in a supportive environment including: Windows Server 2016/2019, Active Directory, Exchange, Group Policy, DNS, VMWare, Microsoft 365.

Excellent training on offer and the opportunity to study for Microsoft certified qualifications.

Duties include

• Providing day-to-day support for local and remote users
• Supporting desktops & laptops (Windows 10/11), iPhones, network printers, VOIP phone system
• Setting up laptops and PC’s and configuring accounts for new employees
• Making workflow optimisation suggestions and document procedures

Skills/Experience

• You have strong customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• You can present ideas in user friendly language
• You take client confidentiality seriously
• Good technical skills
