Our client is an established and highly respected Automotive supplier based in Banbury that plays a key part in the UK automotive industry supply chain. Due to continued growth and expansion, they now require a Junior Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team. The main role of the Junior Maintenance Engineer will be to maintain and provide electrical support, mechanical support, and PLC support, both reactive and preventative across the site. Please note this is working on a rotational shift basis with flexibility to cover sickness and holiday where needed and on call when required. This role would suit someone who is perhaps newly qualified or has just completed their apprenticeship or training and is looking for their first full-time role. You would need to have some engineering knowledge supported with a qualification.

Please note: This is a full-time permanent role working Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm rotational shift (37.5 hours per week) with flexibility required to cover nights or weekends if needed.
Main Responsibilities
* Takes part in electrical-related components including various types of sensors, Controls (PLC), Robots, Motors, Drives, Air Handling Units and Power Distribution.
* Spends time in all facets of project management including Economic justification, design, vendors/procurement, installation, start-up/shutdown procedures, and training.
* Industrial electrical and control troubleshooting.
* Understanding and modifying Industrial Network Protocols including Ethernet, Profibus etc.
* Basic PLC programming proficiency (Siemens TIA Portal, S7 etc)
* Basic HMI/Visualization editing and programming.
* Working with and directing skilled trades employees and contractors.
* Instrumentation & Process Control.
* Proactive in identifying problems and finding solutions.
* Preventative maintenance of machines and equipment; as well as responding to emergency machine breakdowns throughout the plant.
* Diagnosing breakdown problems.
* Involvement with new design, installation, and movements of existing machines.
* Overhaul and repair of machines and equipment.
* Monitor AHU flow, temperature, and humidity levels
Key Skills/Experience
* Candidates can be newly qualified or just completed an apprenticeship and looking for their first full-time role.
* The ability to read system schematics is required and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and heating systems is beneficial.
* Knowledge of Pneumatics is desirable.
* Good diagnostic skills, good numeracy, and communication (both oral and written) skills, and the ability to read technical drawings are essential.
* Previous experience in the automotive sector would be an advantage although not essential.
* Must be willing and able to work a double day's rotational shift 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm.
