Are you a Junior Maintenance Fitter or similar looking for a stable and permanent days-based role within a growing company established over 60 years, offering the chance to undertake maintenance and varied engineering works within a role offering an early finish on a Friday and annual Christmas bonuses?

This well-established company recondition Engines for a variety of machines from buses and boats to diesel generators and biogas fuelled engines. They have built a loyal client base since their establishment over 60 years ago, and due to an ever increasing workload are looking to grow their friendly team.

This days-based role will see you initially shadow the Engineering Supervisor, and then undertaking a range of works within a tight-knit team, including maintenance work including PPM and reactive, undertaking occasional manual machining tasks such as pressure testing, thread repairs and working on gas cylinder heads, and liaising with other departments.

This role would suit a Junior Maintenance Fitter with a degree in mechanical engineering or a time served apprenticeship ready to kick start their career as a Maintenance Fitter within a tight-knit company offering Mon-Fri hours offering a great work life balance.

The Role:

• Shadowing the engineer supervisor and undergoing training on reconditioning machines, pressure testing, thread repairs etc
• Completing general engineering and machinist (manual) tasks such as surface milling, mechanical building and cylindrical boring.
• Undertake a range of maintenance- PPM and reactive
• Mon - Thurs (08:00am - 17:00pm)
• Fri (08:00am - 14:00pm)

The Person:

• Junior Maintenance Fitter or similar
• Mechanical Engineering Degree / Apprenticeship or similar qualification
• Commutable to Blackburn
