JOB – Junior Manufacturing Engineer
LOCATION – Leicester
TERM - Permanent
SALARY – £30,000 - £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
We are looking for a Junior / graduate Manufacturing Engineer on a permanent basis in the Leicester area. This position would be suited for someone with 1 years’ experience or Placement experience in a similar manufacturing position or a Graduate with a Degree in Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering. This would also be very well suited to anyone with Maintenance experience looking to move into a Manufacturing Engineer role.
The Junior Manufacturing Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Qualified with a BSc / BEng qualified in Manufacturing Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or similar

• Understanding of various manufacturing processes.

• Good knowledge of manufacturing process improvements

• Have the ability to communicate with other members of staff and management

• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Experience of using Microsoft products e.g. Excel, word
• Be able to work well alone as well as team

• Familiar with maintenance of various mechanical products (Pneumatics, Cylinders, clamps, Pulleys etc) - advantageous

The Junior Manufacturing Engineer role will involve:

• Working within the existing engineering team
• Assisting with process improvement tasks
• Carrying out process and product introduction through process trials
• Identifying critical path issues and address to improve process flow
• Carrying out Quality inspection and audits.
• Minimising / reducing product waste.
• Participating in continuous improvement programmes throughout production department
