We are currently looking for a dynamic, career driven Manufacturing Engineer for an industry leading Engineering business who design and produce Special Purpose Machinery used across a range of industries. They are going through a significant period of growth and are looking for a career driven engineer to join their skilled team.

The Role

Reporting to the head of Operations, the Manufacturing engineer will be joining a skilled and established team and be responsible for providing production engineering solutions for their bespoke product range. You will work cross functionally with the design, project and production teams, providing technical support where required. The role will also be responsible for the following;

• To ensure Production team deliverables are identified and managed ensuring that commitments are delivered to the required cost, quality and schedule; and assist in the identification, creation and support of manufacturing metrics
• o ensure our customers and stakeholders (e.g. Manufacturing Manager and Project Managers) are regularly updated with task progress, new issues, programme risks, technical risks, and estimates to complete
• Work with CAD packages to ammend basic designs to existing products
• To support the Engineering team in product design and creation of robust drawing/documentation packs ensuring they contain complete and accurate information that meets customer and manufacturing requirements
• To improve and facilitate the smooth flow of production build and test activities, without delays or errors,

The Person

The ideal Junior Manufacturing Engineer will be career driven and have a strong team focus. Key attributes for the role will be as follows;

• Minimum 1 year experience in a production/ Manufacturing or Process Engineering role (or similar)
• Experienced in relevant industry would be beneficial (Assembley/ machining/ fabrication)
• Basic understanding of CAD Packages would be ideal
• Be proficient in the use of MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, etc.
• Qualified to HNC or above in relevant mechanical engineering discipline
