Position Overview:

They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Metals Trader to join their trading team. The successful candidate will support the trading operations, assist in market analysis, and execute trades under the guidance of senior traders. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the execution of metal trades, including buying, selling, and hedging activities.
• Monitor market trends and developments in the metals industry to provide actionable insights.
• Conduct fundamental and technical analysis to support trading decisions.
• Maintain and update trading records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with brokers, suppliers, and clients to facilitate smooth trading operations.
• Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly market reports.
• Support senior traders in developing and implementing trading strategies.
• Manage and mitigate risk by adhering to the company’s trading policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
• Previous internship or experience in trading, finance, or a related field is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the metals market and commodities trading is a plus.
